The second MP Music Network ‘Music Industry Day’ program has been released.

Building on last year’s successful online event when over 100 people attended, this will be one of the biggest gatherings of industry on the Peninsula.

Dozens of industry experts from the Mornington Peninsula, regional Victoria and metro Melbourne will share insights on topics including What will it take for the Shire become the regional music capital of Australia? How do we get audiences back to shows? And how can music help the Mornington Peninsula consolidate its position as a cultural destination?

Speakers include local artist and bar owner Clint Hyndman (Something for Kate), Zombeaches/NYCK Dominique Garrard, music lawyer Paul O’Gorman, Music Victoria CEO Simone Schinkel, Caravan Music Club/Archies Creek Hotel owner Peter Foley and festival promoter Shaun Adams.

The morning sessions will be relevant to everyone in the industry, before artists, venues and sound engineers will peel off for workshops and masterclasses.

The professional development day will be followed by post event networking drinks from 5-6, and then the Mornington Peninsula Shire will launch the Music Plan 2025.

The following day, 8 influential booking agents, managers and promoters will be taken on a tour of key venues on the Peninsula to meet live music operators and experience local artists perform showcases in their rooms.

The event, presented by Mornington Peninsula Shire and Mornington Peninsula Music Network, and moderated by former Music Victoria CEO Patrick Donovan, is free to the music community.
