Aged care facilities have had it hard over the pandemic lockdowns and many elderly residents have been without live music performances for several months.

MP Music Network saw a need to provide ‘vintage’ music lovers with COVID-safe live music without the risks. So we will be providing live streamed shows directly into the homes of our elderly friends in various aged care facilities around the Peninsula.

The MP Music Network ‘Memories and Melodies’ concerts will feature award-winning singer-songwriter and aged care artist Kerryn Fields of ‘Enjoy Music’ along with various local, Peninsula-based artists. Kerryn will be MC for the shows and will perform favourite songs from the 40s-80s and the local artists will chip in with a selection of oldies and their own, original material.

Residents will have access to the shows in their communal areas for sing-alongs or in the privacy of their own rooms via their personal devices. The series kick-off this Thursday 14 January with Kerryn and local troubadour Paul Dillon.

Although the concerts are not available to the general public, any Peninsula-based aged care facilities are welcome to join in. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
